Roadmap
What comes next, and what deliberately does not.
Workban grows in small releases. The list has no dates and no order. Whatever is done is in the changelog.
Planned
On the list.
These points are decided but not built yet. Until they show up in the changelog, they do not exist.
- Several workspaces per person, with switching in the app
- Notifications by email and Slack on feedback and status changes
- Full-text search across descriptions and comments
- The Done window adjustable per workspace, fixed at seven days today
- Webhooks, so other systems can react to status changes
- GitHub: the pull request on the task, the status from the merge

Reached
How Workban got here.

Deliberately not
What will not come.
Workban stays a board that nearly keeps itself. Anything that would need upkeep for that stays out.
- Sprints and story points
- No sprints, no story points, no velocity or burndown chart.
- Time tracking
- No stopwatch. Times come from the status changes.
- Custom workflows
- The five columns and the four roles are fixed.
- Permissions per project
- Everyone in the workspace sees every project, and the board is the same for all.
- Code review
- That stays in the pull request. Workban is the overview, not the source of code.
- MCP server
- Agents use the CLI and the REST API, one path for all.
- Media on dashboards
- No schedules by time of day, no images or videos of your own. That is a job for a signage system.
Get started
Try it with your next task.
Workban is free. Your workspace is ready in a minute, and the first task appears as soon as your agent gets going. The app itself speaks German for now.
