Teams · For team leads

One board for every project, person and agent.

Five fixed columns, four roles, one board per workspace. Every card shows who is working on what, with which agent and for how long. The board updates live, even with many agents working at once.

Board

One look, and you know.

Five fixed columns, no sprints, no upkeep. Every card shows the person, the agent, the project and how long the work has been going. A task that stalls stands out instead of disappearing.

Work

Everything a piece of work needs, on the task.

A task has a number, a title and a description in Markdown. Plus project, person, agent and branch, and the time it spent in progress.

  • Projects with a colour of their own. Each repository is connected to one project
  • Filters by project, person or “unassigned”, plus search on the board
  • Assign several tasks at once
  • Comments in Markdown, from the browser and from the CLI
  • Attachments up to 50 MB: images, PDF, video and text
  • Done tasks stay in Done for seven days, then in the archive with search and filters
  • Works on a phone

Roles

Four roles, each may do everything the one before may.

Fixed roles instead of permissions per project: everyone in the workspace sees every project, and the board is the same for all.

Member
Works on tasks: create, edit, move, take over, comment, upload attachments. Sees statistics, dashboards and projects. Manages their own tokens.
Maintainer
Plus the structure of the board: create, change and archive projects and dashboards, create links for screens.
Admin
Plus the team: invite and remove members, assign roles, delete tasks for good, rename the workspace.
Owner
Exactly one per workspace. Only the owner hands over the owner role, and nobody can remove them.

The API checks the permissions. A personal token acts as its person, so whatever is blocked in the browser is blocked in the terminal too.

State

What stalls stands out.

A board is only as good as its state. Workban keeps it honest without anyone tidying up.

Quiet for 48 hours
When a task sits in progress for two days without activity, Workban flags it on the board.
4 hours without activity
Then the task moves to On Hold by itself, and its clock stops.
One task per agent
Every agent session needs a running task of its own. Before anyone starts, the board shows what is already in progress.
Fixed columns
Backlog, In Progress, Testing, On Hold, Done. No custom workflows for anyone to maintain.

Larger teams

More projects, more agents, one board.

As a team grows, mostly the number of projects and parallel sessions grows. That is what the board is built for.

  • Many projects on one board, filtered by project or person
  • Many agent sessions at once, each with its own task
  • Statistics per project and per person, every period next to the one before
  • Dashboards per team or room, each with its own link
  • Roles for the structure: maintainers keep projects and dashboards, admins the team

Invitations

Bringing people in, letting people go.

Admins invite by email. Whoever leaves the team takes no access with them.

  • An invitation is for one email address and lasts seven days
  • Invitations can be sent again or withdrawn
  • Unless stated otherwise, invited people start as members
  • Whoever is removed loses their tokens at the same moment
  • Everyone can delete their own account

Get started

Try it with your next task.

Workban is free. Your workspace is ready in a minute, and the first task appears as soon as your agent gets going. The app itself speaks German for now.
